  2. NINETY TWO AND HALF PERCENT OF THE VALUE OF THE PROPERTY ONCE THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE LAND REGISTRY, AND KEYS HANDED OVER TO YOU.

  3. TWO AND HALF PER CENT OF THE VALUE OF THE PROPERTY, THREE MONTHS AFTER THE HANDOVER DAY.

NOTE: ABOVE GENERAL TERMS ARE NEGOTIABLE

USEFUL INFORMATION

  1. INTERNATIONAL LAWS ON RESIDENCY STATE THAT IF YOU SPEND MORE THAN 183 DAYS IN A COUNTRY-CONSECUTIVELY OR IN ANY ONE YEAR-YOU ARE DEEMED TO BE RESIDENT OF THAT COUNTRY FOR TAX PURPOSES.

  2. CYPRUS IS NOW PART OF EUROPEAN UNION, HAVE A DOUBLE TAXATION AGREEMENT WITH ALL ITS MEMBER STATES.THIS MEANS THAT YOU WILL NOT BE TAXED ON THE SAME INCOME BY BOTH YOUR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN AND THE CYPRIOT AUTHORITIES.

  3. IF YOUR INCOME IS TAXED IN THE COUNTRY WHERE YOUR INCOME ORIGINATED,YOU CAN CLAIM EXEMPTION FROM TAXATION BY COMPLETING A STANDARD FORM AVAILABLE FROM YOUR LOCAL TAX OFFICE BEFORE YOU LEAVE,OR COMPLETE YOUR END OF TAX YEAR TO RECLAIM ANY TAX YOU END UP OVERPAYING.

  4. IN CYPRUS YOU CAN RECEIVE INCOME UP TO A CERTAIN LEVEL BEFORE TAX IS DUE-BROADLY ON THE SAME PRINCIPLES AS IN UK.

  5. TAX RATE IS ONLY 5%TO PAY ON PENSION INCOME AT THE MOMENT.

  6. TAX RATE IS ONLY 10% TO PAY ON UNEARNED INCOME FROM INVESTMENTS,UNLESS A WITHHOLDING TAX HAS BEEN CHARGED.

  7. TAX RATE IS ONLY 15% TO PAY ON DIVIDEND INCOME.

  8. YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT THAT THE LEVEL OF INCOME YOU RECEIVE WILL FLUCTUATE,BASED ON THE DAILY EXCHANGE RATE WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR PENSION INCOME,FOR EXAMPLE,FROM STERLING INTO EURO WHICH EVER IS APPLICABLE.

  9. THE BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH THIS IS TO TRANSFER THE FUNDS TO A STERLING ACCOUNT WITH INTREST AT A LOCAL BANK AND THEN MOVE THE MONEY INTO EURO WHEN YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE RATE OFFERED.
